Music Editorial
Let’s face it. Music in a movie completely changes your interpretation and reception of the story. I think of it as the invisible perfume that one walks away with after stepping out of the movie theater. In my experience, the magic happens in the relationship between the music editor and director and it is my passion to understand, incorporate and exceed the creative vision to achieve that cinematic experience. My approach is rooted in pulling inspirations from different sources — painting, fashion, big tech and redefining traditional concepts of “score” and “source” being used in film. I believe that anything is possible & also believe in the importance of boosting diverse voices from women, people of color, the queer community into the sphere of film music since the canon has only been created by and for white men, historically. Excellent film music is achieved of course, “in-the-box” - but I believe, also “out-of-the-box (or bubble),” by promoting transparent, respectful communication amongst creatives.
