The objective of SunuXare is to install Contemporary Public Art in marginalized communities and thereby construct — bit by bit —visual environments that foster thought and exploration. Abusive civic policy revolving around healthy food options and bias judicial sentencing have damaged our communities. In order to pull our neighborhoods away from reactive violence and unsustainable solutions – we must reestablish an inclusive cultural identity that honors our diversity and reconnects that identity to a powerful history. Through public art and performance we will reshape our future using oral folklore, soundscapes, language-based art, and sculptural monuments to
teach and promote Identity, Sustainability, Science and Autonomy (ISSA).
